10 Most Expensive Bottles of Alcohol

By on January 12, 2015

If you’re like most people, you like to drink.

Drinking alcohol is one of the main ways in which people socialize these days, and it is truly engrained in our culture.

Most of us also have a favorite drink; from beer to whiskey and everything in between. People are very particular about their alcohol choices, and many of us our willing to pay a little bit extra to get something that we truly love and think is better than the rest of the possible drinking options.

However, when most of us think “top-shelf,” it doesn’t come close to the following drinks on this list.

Here are the 10 most expensive bottles ever sold.

#10: The Maccalan 1926 Fine and Rare (Whiskey): $75,000

Holding the title of “most expensive bottle of whiskey ever sold” until recently, this, well, fine and rare, bottle of whiskey fetched $75,000 from a Korean businessman who just had to have a taste.

The Macallan is a brand that has been around for centuries, continually churning out some of the nicest scotch that can be found on this planet. Some of their vintage bottles are known to sell for a whole lot of money, and this bottle trumped them all.

As the name implies, there aren’t a whole lot of bottles of this scotch in existence, and we’re inclined to believe that the ones still out there taste mighty, mighty fine.
